About this Event
The Trifecta Dance Collective (TDC) was established with a distinct mission: to act as the artistic voice of the communities it serves. TDC challenges traditional norms in concert dance by deconstructing established frameworks and presenting an innovative approach to the curation of full length performances. TDC artists are dedicated to pushing boundaries and fostering community engagement in contemporary dance. They are given the platform to engage in critical thinking, exploration, and technical training to establish a profound connection that goes beyond the rehearsal process. This work can manifest in various forms, with the TDC artists actively participating in shaping the audience experience they deem most impactful. Each project is uniquely curated, involving collaborations with artists from different fields, engaging with community organizations for learning and growth, participating in social service projects with community members, and refining interview skills to capture personal experiences through an artistic lens.
