Returning to Millennium Park following a wildly successful 2022 engagement, the Chicago Black Dance Legacy Project presents ten dynamic companies in a concert exploring the divine, mystical and spiritual ways our ancestors communicate and celebrate with us.
Featuring dance genres from Chicago Footwork to Hip Hop mixed with Ballet (aka Hiplet), to jazz and contemporary dance, this concert promises to stir every soul.
The full list of companies performing include: The Chicago Multicultural Dance Company and Hiplet Ballerinas, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, The Era Footwork Collective, Forward Momentum Chicago, Joel Hall Dancers & Center, M.A.D.D. Rhythms, Move Me Soul, Muntu Dance Theatre, NAJWA Dance Corps, and Praize Productions Inc.
The CBDLP is a project of the Logan Center for the Arts, and this engagement is a part of the #MillenniumPark Residency Program and the Park’s 20th Anniversary Summer Season.
