Winter Solstice is a major turning point within the seasonal cycle. Marking the beginning of Winter, it is during the darkest time of the year that a flame is ignited. And a new light cycle is born.This is a slow and still celebration centered around vision and the element of fire. Fire has been with us for millions of years and it is deeply embedded in our bodies, energy and consciousness. By connecting with fire, we are taken to the beginnings of time, to that dark cave where the fire is burning. And visions are born.
Spending the Winter Solstice in slow-tempo, stillness and engaged attention, we charge the cauldron of dark with light and heat. We explore the somatics of human verticality, practice turning the light within and cultivate the Fire and Water dynamics.
Raquel will lead you into simple, practical and meditative chi kung exercises, nature-connection practices and the exploration of fire-making.
Together with the natural elements of the forest where this event takes place, we are presented with a unique opportunity of immersion in the transformational forces at work in the darkest point of the year.
Lunch included: home-made vegetarian soup (with organic and preferably locally grown vegetables), brown rice, sourdough bread, home-made pesto, butter and home-made fermented vegetables. If you have specific diet requirements, please inform as soon as you register.
