As the major trauma center for the ACT and surrounding regions, Canberra Hospital plays a key role in providing care to approximately 200,000 members of the community from Queanbeyan and the wider Southern NSW region each year. In emergencies, whether it’s trauma, cancer, stroke, or heart conditions, patients from this region are transferred to Canberra Hospital for the specialised care they need.
