Join us for a spectacular, FREE event heralding the opening of Chew's Yard. Bringing the party vibes to Market Street West, will be Lancaster’s 25 strong drumming group Samba Espirito. They will be bringing the colourful, carnival atmosphere to Market Street West on Thursday 2nd May from 7pm. Bring the whole family and your friends along to watch the samba group set off from Chain House Brewing Co at 7pm and make their way along Market Street West in a blaze of colour to Chew's Yard. During Samba Espirito performances, exhilarating samba-reggae tunes are played on five different types of drum. The result is an exciting, colourful & lively performance! You are in for a real treat!

Why not join us earlier for some food and drink from one of our amazing traders and enjoy it in our beautiful, landscaped garden courtyard. We are open from midday. At 5pm, singer-songwriter Rachael Waring will be getting the party started with some upbeat toe-tapping tunes in the Chew’s Yard food and drink hall from 5pm – 7pm.
