Philadelphia’s longest running holiday tour! The Holiday season is a time to relive cherished traditions, and for Chestnut Hill, there is no better tradition than spending a day enjoying the Holiday House Tour. Our annual tour features the area’s loveliest historic homes decorated inside and out for the holidays. In recent years the tour included a charming cottage, a stately stone colonial, a three story Italianate Victorian, a second empire twin, and a Norman country house. Attendees have the option of riding our event trolley from stop to stop or visiting at their own pace in this self-guided tour. The tour is popular with both visitors and residents of Chestnut Hill, who come every year to discover a variety of dramatic homes while experiencing our neighborhood’s rich architectural heritage. This event is a major fundraiser for the Chestnut Hill Community Association and helps us provide services to our community throughout the year. This is a self-guided tour - drive your car, or ride our festive event trolley. Our event trolleys will stop at each house on the tour, and along Germantown Avenue. Make it a day in Chestnut Hill! Many restaurants and shops will be offering discounts for Christmas Holiday House Tour attendees. Our trolley will also be stopping at our (new this year!) warming station for treats and warm drinks, hosted by Home Works.
Holiday House Tour attendees also recieve free admission to Woodmere Art Museum on December 14th.
This is an all-weather event. Attendees check in at St. Joseph’s Hall on the Chestnut Hill College Campus, 9601 Germantown Ave., to pick up their map, wristband, and booties.
