We'll explore a variety of art mediums and themes, and use art as a means to explore and voice our feelings and ideas in an intuitive and expressive way!These are NOT technical art classes.
These are follow-your-heart, soothe-the-soul art classes!
Our focus will be on self-exploration, approaching art with a sense of curiosity and playfulness, taking time to turn inward and connect with our higher self, and enjoying social interaction with fellow women!
Rose will introduce a new project each class and will provide a variety of interesting art materials and creativity-inspiring prompts to spark your imagination!
Gentle guidance is provided throughout; however, activities are primarily self-led for a creative art experience that is introspective, meaningful, and empowering.
No prior art experience is required... Just a desire to peacefully create with others, and to nurture yourself and your creativity!

ABOUT THIS 5-WEEK SESSION:
Tues, March 18th- April 15th (10:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.)
*This session takes place at our Chesterville Studio*
CLASS 1 (March 18th)- FLOWER YARN PAINTING
We'll paint a loose, expressive, and colourful watercolour bouquet; and then we'll add tactile yarn and decorative embellishments to make our blooms pop!
Channel your inner child as you coil and shape yarn into pretty blooms... paint freely, cut and paste, and PLAY!
CLASS 2 (March 25th)- MOON MAIDEN PAINTING
We'll paint a whimsical, magical night scene of a woman in a forest.
This class will be taught in a Paint Night-style, but with lots of opportunity for everyone to add their own custom details and meaningful symbolism.
CLASS 3 (April 1st)- CLAY HAMSA
The Hamsa! That universal symbol of protection and strength.
We'll sculpt this cosmic design using our own hand as a starting point.
Then we'll add symbolic imprints and clay embellishments... swirls... leaves... a lotus flower... and an evil eye to protect.
It's so relaxing to knead, roll, shape, stamp, and texturize clay!
CLASS 4 (April 8th)- GLITTER BUTTERFLY
We'll draw a large, expressive butterfly and add colour using watercolour paint, gel pens, and acrylic paint pens.
Don't forget the glitter, beads, sequins, and gems!
CLASS 5 (April 15th)- MASK-MAKING
Let's make magical, powerful masks! With paper masks as a base, we'll use a variety of interesting art materials (paint, nature objects, ribbon, fabric, and so much more!) to make expressive art pieces.
Create a character and/or use symbolism to express an aspect of yourself that you want to explore, or just have fun playing with aesthetic qualities like colour, pattern, and texture.
Maybe you'll make a dramatic Venetian-inspired mask, a spirt animal mask, or an enchanting forest mask!
