Come and explore Chester’s unique and centuries-old (so very much long-standing) Rows!

Join Paul Hyde (former Heritage Interpretation Officer for Chester) with his trusty six-foot duster to navigate some ofthe city’s familiar Row streets but also its less-used Row walkways. Also, discover areas where the Rows have been lost (in Stuart and Georgian times) but where clues remain to their one-time existence. Paul will also be pointing the duster to explain the key features of these remarkable structures and celebrate how they continue to help make Chester look and feel so very special.

With the major exception of Lower Bridge Street – most of the route will be along Row Walkways – so taking advantage of their ancient design and therefore sheltered from the elements.
