Welcome to our first Beginner Level Chess Tournament at Table Talk Board Game Cafe! Get ready to show off your strategic skills and compete against fellow chess enthusiasts in a friendly and fun environment. This event is open to all for spectating but only beginner level participants. Join us for a day filled with intense matches, and exciting gameplay. Don't miss out on this opportunity to test your abilities and enjoy the thrill of the game. See you at the tournament!

Rules:
1. Touch rule: if you touch a piece you have to move it unless you declare you are adjusting or if the piece cannot legally move.
2. Time limit will be presented to keep each match around the same time. 45 min per game in which each game should be finish around that time. 5-10 min breaks between each round, depending on participants. If a game is still going by the time the clock runs out then it will result in a draw for both players.
3. Point system: Win 2 point, Draw 1 point, Lose 0 points
4. No talking during someone else’s game or comment about someone else’s game while watching them play. Best to stay quiet during someone’s game and no comments to help either player while they are playing that might change the game or help change the game state. If it does happen you will get a warning and too many warnings will result in a DQ and the player you are helping may get a game loss. 3 warnings will be a DQ.
5. After your match, waiting area will be in the Egg Roll Restaurant Plus Food Truck to relax and refuel for the next game and make sure while they are waiting they are also quiet if there are other games that are still playing, can still result in a DQ if too many warnings have been assigned to them
6. Pairings will go with the points system at the end of the rounds it will go to whoever has the most points in the end.
