Introduce your young learner to the exciting world of chess at Chess 101 for Kindergarteners! This program, led by Mid-South Chess, will take place on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is designed for beginners eager to learn the basics of this timeless game. Kids will discover the names and movements of the pieces, basic strategies, and how to set up a board—all in a fun and engaging environment. There is a $40 participation fee, collected on the day of the program. Registration is required and opens two weeks prior to the event.
