Founded in 2011, Chess at Three facilitates over 1,000 lessons a week in New York City and partners with several of New York's leading pre-K, nursery, and elementary schools including The Washington Market School and The Goddard School.
Chess at Three is a systematic and rigorous chess curriculum that uses a unique, story-based approach to captivate young minds and get kids playing and loving chess in no time. Our educational philosophy:

2) Storytelling and narratives spark new connections in a child’s brain.
3) Children enjoy learning about complex subjects and life skills that will empower them for years to come.
Chess at Three is our signature, award-winning program. Children will fall in love with the game of chess by learning through our story-based curriculum, designed to captivate any young mind. By following a cast of quirky, memorable characters through the magical world of Chesslandia, students swiftly become successful chess players while developing critical thinking, strategy, and problem-solving skills. Come meet King Shaky, the frightened king who tip-toes across the chessboard one step at a time.
