Cherry Bandora – Das Comeback! In flottem Tempo und elektrisch verstärkt werden die orientalischen vintage Klänge von griechischer ‚Laïko‘, türkischem ‚Anadolu Rock‘ und israelischem ‚Mizrahit‘ wiederbelebt.
Das Repertoire der Band besteht aus Taverna-Schlagern von legendären SängerInnen und Bouzouki Meistern der 50er Jahre wie Stelios Kazantzidis, Marinella, Manolis Xiotis und Vasilis Tsitsanis.
Die mal fröhliche, mal melancholische Melodien werden begleitet von den Delay-lastigen Töne der Bouzouki, der griechischen Blues-Gitarre, und den psychedelischen Sounds der Orgel. Die Show wird zu einer Reise zwischen den Hafenstädte Piräus, Istanbul und Jaffa der 60’ und 70’ und verführt zum Tanz und Spaß.
Cherry Bandora - the comeback! Amplified and in fast tempo, the group is reviving the vintage music styles of Greek ‘Laïko’, Turkish 'Anadolu Rock' and Israeli 'Mizrahit’. The repertoire includes many tavern classics by legendary singers and bouzouki masters of the 50’s such as Stelios Kazantzidis, Marinella, Manolis Xiotis und Vasilis Tsitsanis.
The sometimes joyful, sometimes melancholic melodies are being accompanied by the heavy delay tones of the Bouzouki, the greek Blues-guitare and from the psychedelic organ sounds. The show turns into a trip through the Mediterranean and between the Ports of Pireus, Istanbul and Jaffa of the 60’s and 70’s, that invites to dance and to enjoy.
