About this Event
Join Chattahoochee Nature Center on a hike where participants will gain an understanding of the Cherokee and Muscogee Native American groups that once lived in this local area. Your naturalist will show how the Native Americans connected with the natural world around them. The focus of the program will be on learning how they used native plants and animals from this area to obtain food, clothing, shelter, and medicine. The relationship that they had with the Chattahoochee River will also be emphasized. End your program with a live animal presentation from your naturalist.
