Welcome to the Cheraw 24 Hour Run, a Mountaineer Rumble event, at Cheraw State Park, Cheraw, SC. During the race you'll run on a 4.3 mile loop with only 190 feet elevation gain called the Turkey Oak Trail-Outer Loop for the duration of the 24 hour event.
Runners will have beautiful views of red cockaded woodpeckers, deer, and a variety of other species of birds can be encountered along the trail. You'll run by pine trees, turkey oaks, blackjack oaks, and hickory trees on a smooth trail surface. It’s a great trail that's flat and fast that gives a great opportunity to get a lot of miles in.

There will be a 24-hour time limit for the race starting at 8 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2024 and ending on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 8 AM. Runners will be able to run as many loops as they choose during the duration of the event. Runners will run by the aid station and drop bag area at the completion of each loop. This will give you access to the race aid and your gear without leaving the course. Typical ultra race snack foods will be available at the start/finish line aid station. Burgers, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta, bacon, and pancakes served throughout the event.
Top Three Male and Top Three Female finishers will receive an award. Any runner that completes 100 or more miles will receive a custom design 100-mile buckle.
A limited amount of campsites are available during registration.
The goal of the Mountaineer Rumble is to highlight the trail system at Cheraw State Park and to give back for further improvements to the park. It is our hope that you enjoy many trail miles and are introduced to a park that you may not aware of and what it has to offer.
