So grateful to have the opportunity to share my favorite style of Taichi form - Chen Style Taichi with the community again this fall. Chen Style Taichi embodies the qualities of yielding and internal strength. The graceful movement is capitivating and fun to learn. We will start with Standing Meditation, also called " Zhan zhuang " 站桩 to get the feel of whole body Qi. Then the basic movements will be introduced to further cultivating the awareness of the subtle body sensations. As one of the three Internal Martial Arts form from ancient china, Taichi is originally used for combat hence the practice will enhance your strength and internal power. The power and grace of flowing movements also bring you flexibility, and a meditative state.
About Lin:
Lin is passionate about spreading the ancient art of the Chen Style Taichi, for its beauty and immense holistic health benefits. Her style of teaching is individual focused, and detail oriented. She gives every student the attention and hands on adjustment they need and is very patient with their progress. She also practices Chinese medicine practioner, teaches yoga and raises ducks and quails.
Contribution: $90 for 6 classes or $20 per drop in
