About this Event
This half day workshop will discuss the hazards that chemicals present in a work environment, including health hazards that put employees at risk, as well as physical hazards such as flammability, corrosion, and explosibility that put employees, properties, and the general public at risk. Participants will learn how to properly use, handle, and store chemicals, what measures employees can take to protect themselves, related OSHA safety standards and best practices. This training is a must for anyone who works with or around chemicals.
Who Should Attend: Employees from Department of Public Works, Building and Grounds, Facilities Maintenance, Water, Wastewater, Parks and Recreation, or anyone who works with or around chemicals, or any supervisor responsible for such employees.

Registration Info: Advance registration at www.ritrust.com is required. Limit 4 employees per Member. Deadline for registration is Friday, November 15, 2024. There is a $50 “NO SHOW” fee for anyone who registers but then fails to attend the training.
