About this Event
The School of Chemistry at TCD is organising this year’s conference for Saturday the 21st of October in Dublin city centre under the theme of “Green Chemistry and Green Energy”. We're aiming to provide teachers with ideas, resources and great talks that are useful for all stages of teaching chemistry.
The day will be officially opened by the head of the School of Chemistry at Trinity College Dublin. The morning session will cover some information about the support we provide though the School of Chemistry in Trinity, as well as our Academic plenary speaker about green energy. Our international Keynote Speaker will take place before lunch and is currently in the process of being confirmed.
Workshops will then take place either side of lunch:
- Current Chemistry Investigators (CCI)
- DIY Chemistry Instruments
- RSC Ireland workshop (Chemistry through Irish)
- Classroom Chemistry: TBC
The afternoon will include our Education Plenary speaker, as well as representatives from the NCCA, PDST and others.
All ticket prices include tea/coffee with snacks in the morning and a full hot lunch. Attendees will also receive electronic copies of all resources and talks after the conference.
Certification of attendance is also provided.
If you are a RSC funding awardee, please submit your poster here to receive a discounted ticket price. Please make sure your name is included on the poster so we can match up the tickets with the correct people
