A cultural leader, she made history as the first Black woman and youngest person ever elected to serve as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Recording Academy®, marking two historic milestones in the organization’s 68-year history. Dr. Green’s performance resume includes the GRAMMY Awards with Lizzo, CBS’s The Late Show, NPR Tiny Desk, headlining countless festivals, and even soloing at Carnegie Hall at age 16.
