Thanks to the Game of Thrones, the viral success of Feral Love was followed by the appearance of the Grammy-winning star producer John Congleton (Baroness, Lana Del Rey, St. Vincent), which gave the Abyss record its final form.
The album permanently changed the international perception of Chelsea Wolfe, and the follow-up was more interested than ever: it is no coincidence that Troy Van Leeuwen from Queens of the Stone Age appears as a guitarist on the Hiss Spun record (who met the artist thanks to Mark Lanegan ).
