About this Event
Celebrate Korean Culture & Kimchi
On Sunday, January 26, 2025 Chef Sean Park will be leading 30 guests through the traditional Korean process of preparation and preservation of kimchi! Kimchi is an intangible Korean cultural property dating back to the 13th century! Attendees will be lead through the entire process starting with the pre-prepared Korean napa cabbage. After the kimchi has been made attendees will enjoy a traditional Korean meal associated with a "Gimjang" which is when Koreans get together annually to make kimchi en masse to get through the winter months. Korean style pork belly, Korean miso soup (Doenjang Jjigae), Korean rice wine (makgeolli), Korean rice, and, of course, fresh kimchi! Attendees will go home with one pound of kimchi, the knowledge to make their own kimchi at home and... Chef Sean Park's mother's kimchi recipe (priceless).
