About this Event
The exhibition is one of the conclusion of Teddy Frederick's residency at Grenada Art Residency with Calabar Gallery at Cannes Brulees Rum Factory in partnership with Flavours of Grenada and Grenada Tourism Authority.
For 3 weeks at CaribBeing House in Governor's Island, Frederick's work will showcase the Social Justice Residency which is focused on the politics of land, food, agriculture and wellness and the creation of new, original, and/or experimental projects that is socially and politically engaging.
The Residency is designed by curator Atim Annette Oton of Calabar Gallery is about a distinct pedagogy exploring ideas about Caribbean and especially Grenadian lives and community as it relates to politics of land, food, agriculture and wellness. It has 3 Art Advisors: Amy Andrieux, Executive Director, MOCADA, Marlin A. Martin, Art and Cultural Curator, MAM Inc. and Andrew Lockhart, Co-Founder, NDR NW MGMT and pro jekt nyc.
