About this Event
Lisa Storey, Founder of EZ Hampers - Gift shop in association with Robinsons Wines Merchants & Shippers Ltd is generously hosting this Cheese and Wine Tasting Networking Evening in aid of Fréa.
EZ Hampers:
The company started with a simple idea to make hampers sustainable! Lisa Storey, founder thought about what she wanted her customers to get out of these hampers, and realised it wasn't just about convenience—it was about sustainability. That's why EZ Hampers have made it their mission to create hampers that are eco-friendly and also meet dietary requirements. Lisa was a vegetarian for almost 25 years with many allergies, she understands how important it is not to feel excluded or overlooked when receiving a gift.
Fréa is a partnership between three long-established Irish charities in the North of England, who offer lifeline services to vulnerable Irish people of all ages across the North of England ( www.frea.org ) including: helping to prevent homelessness in the Irish community, keeping older people warm (help with energy bills) and connected to reduce isolation (through luncheon clubs), Improving mental health through community support and connections (example Irish Community Care Manchester's allotment project to reduce social isolation and have a positive impact on mental health), directing Irish women and children fleeing domestic abuse to a safe place, keeping the lights on for Irish families during the cost-of-living crisis, supporting former residents of Mother & Baby and County Homes who left Ireland and came to Britain, providing a respectful burial and resting place for people with no next of kin.
The three charities are:
- Irish Community Care in Manchester
- Leeds Irish Health & Homes
- Irish Community Care based in Liverpool.
Fréa is from the Irish word ‘fréamh’ meaning ‘root’ and reflects how as charities we are anchored and strengthened by our shared heritage, which, through careful cultivation and ambitious growth, enables us to flourish.
Fréa is registered by the Charity Commission England & Wales, registration number is 1197939.
