Love Cheese? Love wine? Why not come along to one of our cheese and wine matching evenings and learn more about the best cheese and wine pairings to enjoy at home.We will be exploring a range of delicious cheeses and matching them with some of our favourite wines from around the globe. We will also talk about food and wine matching more generally, and you'll pick up some really good tips to take away and practice at home.
During the evening we will try 6 different cheese and wine combinations, the cheeses and wines will vary slightly from one event to another depending on what is at its peak at the time.
Matches we have loved before include:
Goats cheese and Sauvignon Blanc
Chaource with Champagne
Camembert with Pinot Noir
Washed rind cheese (eg Pont L'Eveque or Reblochon) with Pinot Gris
Farmhouse Cheddar with red Bordeaux
Blue cheese with a Botrytis wine
All our cheeses are provided for us by Pangbourne Cheese Shop or sourced from our favourite producers around the country. They are a local & independent business specialising in amazing cheeses
