You are invited to visit the Cheekwood garden and arboretum in Nashville with the Crimson Clover Master Gardeners on Tuesday, May 7. Non-member admission to the gardens is adults $20 and 65+ $18. We will meet at the Coffee County Administrative Plaza at 9:00 am and carpool. The drive is 1-1/2 hours and 73 miles. We can eat lunch at Café 29 at Cheekwood which has sandwiches, wraps and salads. The garden is open until 5 pm. The 55 acre Cheekwood estate includes a Japanese garden, a children’s garden and sculptures. We have been told that it is not necessary to buy a ticket in advance,
Cheekwood will have the exhibit “Trolls: Save the Humans” by Thomas Dambo who lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. Six 16 – 50 ft. tall trolls made from recycled wood will be on display throughout the gardens. This link has photos and information about the trolls.
