This year, we celebrate the historical figures who have made a lasting impact on Black communities today, especially those who have championed justice, healing, and hope in the face of violence and hardship. Together, we’ll reflect on how their legacies connect to the lives of our loved ones, whom we honor and memorialize through this gathering.
Experience the vibrant rhythms and movements of the Benkadi Drum & Dance Group as they bring traditional West African music and dance to life. Families can also participate in creative art activities and enjoy a sweet treat with cookie decorating. There will also be a chance to enter into a raffle for a $50 gift card!
Our events are curated to support and uplift children and families who have experienced sudden loss due to community violence, M**der, suicide, or related challenges. Together, we’ll celebrate the strength of our community, honor the heroes of our hearts, and inspire healing for the future.
Let’s honor the past, celebrate the present, and build a future rooted in love and unity. We look forward to sharing this special day with you!
