Chaunté Wayans, of the Wayans family, is right there next to Keenen, Damon, Shawn, Kim, and Marlon. But she’ll also be the first to tell you that she didn’t grow up like royalty–in fact, far from it, aside from vacations.She also didn’t immediately enter the comedy world, or get much help during her climb. She came up the hard way: through countless gigs, struggling to find her voice and to connect with her audience.
Now, though, with her first Netflix half-hour, she’s here to show the world what she’s got – and what’s she got is completely disarming honesty, a super-unique cadence, and sharp as hell joke writing skills that certainly make you wonder if it isn’t, at least partly, in her blood.
