About this Event
Chasing waterfalls day 2! This is part of a weekend series and is the Saturday event.. Our adventure takes us to a forested trail that leads to a waterfall or 2 nd then onto a beautiful alpine lake. The whole journey is stunning with some amazing views along the way. You will feel refreshed and empowered after this hike. Total distance is just under 12km round trip., there is some elevation gain and short sections of steep and unstable footing. We will be on the lookout for those cascading waterfalls- This is a underrated hike for waterfalls- but they are gorgeous!
This is a intermediate trip that has elevation gain. If you are not sure if it is a good fit, send a message, and we can chat to see if it would be the best one for you.
Meeting at the trailhead at 9:30 am It is a bit of a drive to get to the trail head, please consider staying close by, (Canmore or in Kananaskis) the night before or plan on a early start. (Approx 2 hour drive from Calgary) Parking is along the highway or a pull out near Mount Edgadine Lodge.
Included:
- An experienced guide.
- A detailed supply list, information about the trail and history of the area.
- Your guide will also bring bear safety information, bear spray and first aid kit.
Please note that you must have sturdy footwear and we recommend dressing in layers to adapt to constant weather changes. Poles are STRONGLY recommended for this hike.
All details with items to pack, a map to the trail head and more will be provided in an email 7-10 days before the hike.

Emergency Policy: It is our policy to have emergency and medical information on each hiker that is logged with a check in person . Each hiker must ensure that all their medical information and emergency contact information is correct and up to date for each hike.
