About this Event
Join us and author Susan Nenadic for an engaging historical presentation! This program will trace the development of the state of Montana and its connection to Michigan. Many Michiganders headed there to pan for gold and to settle on farms or to open businesses that supplied the miners. On the frontier, a person could make a quick fortune. Clara McAdow traveled from Michigan to Montana ca.1883 where she invested in land and mines. She married Perry McAdow who was a Montana pioneer, made millions of dollars and returned to Detroit.
Event to be held in the Galleria. Registration preferred, walk-ins welcome. Free parking is available in the DPL staff lot for event attendees.
