The next edition of the Charlotte Running Club Monthly Little Sugar Creek Greenway Run is less than two weeks away taking place on Saturday October 5th @ 7:30am (start time adjusted due to later sunrise)Location : 2524 Tyvola Road, Charlotte, NC 28210
The RunNC training group powered by the Charlotte Running Company will be joining to use the greenway for their long run as most everyone will be getting miles in for the Charlotte Marathon and other fall events. You can learn more about RunNC on their Facebook page.
The LSC Greenway run is perfect if you want to run 5 miles, 10 miles, or even 20 miles since you can turnaround at any point and return. Plenty of water will be available at several spots on the greenway and at the start / finish as well so you can stay hydrated. We'll gather at the parking lot situated off Tyvola Rd (address provided above) and commence the run shortly after 7:30 am. Please plan on arriving early to have time to park and gather before we start. There's plenty of additional parking available across Tyvola Road at the Queens University Sports Complex. Some runners will start their run a bit earlier and come back for the main run.
We encourage EVERYONE to attend no matter your level of experience or ability. Our runs and events are (and always will be) free for anyone to attend. Membership to the Charlotte Running Club is NOT required. As much as we would like to, we cannot guarantee that all runners who come will match up on pace. Please feel free to bring a friend to run with!
If you want to support our effort, our annual membership fee is $25 a year for individuals, $35 for family, and $20 for Seniors & students. Your membership fee directly supports events held throughout the year by volunteers.
