Charlie & The Changelings Charlie & The Changelings are an original country folk, blues band based out of Boise, Idaho featuring: Charlie Sutton on lead vox and guitar, Dave Manion on steel guitar (Eilen Jewell, Curtis Stigers), Jason Beek on drums and backing vox (Eilen Jewell, Hillfolk Noir, Pinto Bennett) and Sam Alkire on bass and backing vox. Soaring lap steel guitar and soulful counterpoint harmonies harken back to bands like The Flying Burrito brothers and JJ cale while Charlie Sutton's intricate finger-picking, masterful songwriting and commanding vocal style--conjure the rugged beauty of Townes Van Zandt and gorgeous grit of John Fogerty.
