Charleston Festival brings together today’s most exciting artists, thinkers and changemakers to engage with art and ideas. Over two weeks, the festival invites visitors to imagine the world differently through a rich programme of over 60 talks, workshops and performances featuring 150 speakers. Located in the idyllic grounds of Charleston, in the heart of the Sussex South Downs, the festival takes the progressive spirit of the Bloomsbury group as a starting point.We are pleased to announce the first acts for Charleston Festival 2024, one of the UK’s longest-running literature festivals, which returns for our 35th event between 16 and 27 May 2024.
First lineup announced:
Jesse Armstrong, Es Devlin, Lenny Henry, Marlon James, Jackie Kay, Emily Maitlis, Val McDermid, David Nicholls, Grayson Perry, Lucy Prebble, Nitin Sawhney and Meera Syal.
