About this Event
Exposure to air pollution can cause serious health hazards. Residents of Accabee , Chicora-Cherokee, Union Heights, Liberty Hill, Five Mile, Howard Heights, Windsor Place and Rosemont are invited to come hear from the partners of the Charleston Community Air Monitoring Network (CCAMN).
Representatives from the Charleston Community Research to Action Board, MUSC, the SC Port Authority, and the Department of Environmental Sciences (formerly DHEC) will be sharing information on current research studies.
Come with your questions about these studies and future work.
CCAMN is a community-based research project designed to improve knowledge of air quality among near port communities and residents across Charleston, South Carolina. The mission of the project is to promote understanding of air quality at the community-level and is not part of any regulatory monitoring program in the area.
