The Torrington Historical Society will host a special holiday performance inside the Hotchkiss-Fyler House Museum.
Special programs such as this one are seldom held inside the Hotchkiss-Fyler House Museum (built 1900) which is normally open for guided tours. Mr. Rick Corbo, as Charles Dickens, will bring to life A Christmas Carol, as Dickens read it during his lifetime. Rick’s presentation will be set against the evening glow of the house museum decorated in its holiday finery with Christmas trees, garlands and white lights. This is a unique opportunity for attendees to enjoy a holiday classic as they sit in one of Connecticut’s finest house museum, decorated for the season. The program will be approximately 45 minutes in length.
Rick Corbo has been performing as Charles Dickens for over seven years. He has performed at the Storrowtown Yuletide Weekend, The Greater Boston Dickens Fellowship, and Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, among others. Rick wrote and starred as Dickens in Reclaiming the Carol which is broadcast each year on the EWTN Network. He also appeared as Dickens on an episode of the EWTN series CHESTERTON STATION. Originally from Torrington, Rick now lives with his family in West Haven, CT.
The evening will begin at 5:45 with refreshments in the Carriage House.
