Hi This is an invite to all Facebook friends to a charity walk, run or ride on Sunday 2 November 2025.
I’m running the London Marathon next year and raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
So I’ve decided to create an event for walkers, runners and cyclists.
The event will start and end at Great Cornard Sports Centre (GCSC).
There will be 10k, half and a full marathon on offer (out and back along the railway line).
It will be a timed event with a start and finish tunnel/gantry near the hockey pitches at GCPC.
Marathon start is 9am
Half Marathon 9:15am
10k 9:30am
All cyclists - 9:45am
The cut off time is 4pm for all events.
GCSC have kindly agreed to allow us to use their facilities.
The Cafe will be open so that participants and supporters can enjoy the event, have a rest perhaps in between each loop if doing the half or marathon.
Dirty Dolphiners running club and The Hot Tub Company are kindly sponsoring the medals.

The minimum contribution requested is as follows:
10k - £10
Half marathon - £15
Marathon - £20

The event is open to over 18s.

I would like to get 100 people signed up by 2 October. If there is a larger interest then I’ll look to open it up to more.
The route is very simple as it is out and back. I will send a GPX file link to those who register.
