🌻♥️ CHARITY FLASH TATTOO EVENT🌻♥️Hello everyone! I am holding an event day on Sunday 2nd November to raise funds for FRASAC.
https://www.facebook.com/share/14JbwmB3Ysp/
Fife R*pe and S*xual assult Centre is based in Kirkcaldy, but do absolutely amazing and critical work throughout Fife. This charity is so so close to my heart ♥️and I want to be able to use my skills to raise them some pennies.
FRASAC offer 1 to 1 therapy sessions, crisis support, criminal justice advocacy, support and help for family members of those needing help.
You may think that s*xual assault doesn't effect you in anyway....but let me tell you some hard hitting truths because this is personal!
(Potential Triggers below...please do not read if you could be triggered)...
"There were 14,484 s*xual crimes recorded in Scotland in 2023-24." R*pe crisis Scotland. (Baring in mind not all will have been reported).
"S*xual abuse occurs more often in the survivor’s home or somewhere they know well than in any other location (37.58%)" -R*pe crisis Scotland
"36.81% of the abuse experienced by survivors in touch with R*pe Crisis Centres in Scotland in 2021-22 was rape; 14.13% was child s*xual abuse, and 25.73% was s*xual assault" -R*pe Crisis Scotland
"Figures have shown that 1 in 2 girls and 1 in 6 boys have experienced some form of s*xual abuse (from flashing to r*pe) by the age of 18." - Child s*xual abuse figures, Rape Crisis Scotland.
"S*xual violence is traumatic and can affect self-esteem and self-conidence. Many survivors of sexual violence experience emotions including shock, fear, anger, shame, guilt and betrayal. After effects can include panic attacks, "flashbacks or nightmares which can increase distress and make it feel as if there is no way of moving on from what happened. Many survivors do not have the support they need at the time. They may see su*cide as a way of escaping from overwhelming pain and distress" -information for survivors of s*xual violence-suicidal thoughts. -S*xual assult and suicide, R*pe Crisis Scotland.
As you can see this is personal! This is our sisters, our aunts, our colleagues, our kids, our friends. This is local and this is happening. You don't know who around you is carrying the weight of a s*xual assult.
On Sunday the 2nd of November I will be giving flash tattoo designs out for £35 with profits going to our local S*xual assult Centre.
There will be two flash sheets available, 1 with the s*xual assult victim symbol and a survivor sign. The other with less obvious designs and ones anyone could get (even those supporting someone else who is a victim).
This will be a WALK IN EVENT 11am until 7pm!! I really really want to make this a success and it would mean so much to me to be able to give a good donation to the charity.
The event will be held at EK aesthetics where i rent my room. The salon is so welcoming and a safe space for all. The day will be filled with positive energy.
More information will follow, I think a raffle will also be on the cards with some other bits and bobs happening on the day😍. But in the meantime, note down the date! Get it off work! Tag your friends! Share this post! Spread the word!
*frasac are not running this event, I am doing it on my own behalf*
Thank you all for reading. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
