Rotary Club Announces Annual Charity Golf DayThe Rotary Club of St Woolos Newport is pleased to announce its annual charity golf tournament, taking place on Wednesday, September 10th at the prestigious Newport Golf Club.
Golfers will enjoy a scenic and challenging 18-hole course, followed by a complimentary two-course dinner in the clubhouse. Set 300 feet above sea level in the stunning Llwyni Wood, the 6,500 yard course winds through ancient oak woodland and rolling parkland, promising a memorable game for players of all abilities.
Each team will be warmly welcomed with coffee and a bacon roll on arrival, and a hot meal will be served upon completing the round. There will be plenty of great prizes for the top teams, along with a raffle featuring many exciting items.
The event will kick off at 9:00 AM, with tee times scheduled at 10-minute intervals. The tournament will follow the Stableford scoring system, and participants are encouraged to review the club’s dress code via the Newport Golf Club website. Golf buggies are also available for hire through the club’s pro shop.
Team entry is just £200 for four players, with all proceeds going to St David’s Hospice Care and other deserving local charities.
