The association Den Gjenfundne Tid organizes a charity concert to raise money for the Carmel St. Joseph community, which hosts an educational institution (school, middle school, high school ), near Damour, south of Beirut,Lebanon.The association received this call for help from Yves Quéré, physicist and member of the Academy of Sciences, godfather of Reconciliation festival. He has been visiting this community in the past.
Please come to the concert and give whatever you can. We will also be selling cakes and coffee.

Here is the message from Sister Mariam an Nour. It was sent to France but WE all can help.
“We are living through an unprecedented wartime situation and facing an extremely severe humanitarian crisis. For now, we continue to work online as long as it remains possible. We have not been able to host displaced people in our school because the Red Cross has asked us to make our facilities available as an operational field for their activities in the Chouf region. The public school in Damour, near Mechref, has taken in over 300 displaced persons, including 80 children. We are contributing – as best we can – to their care and to activities for the children.
It is very important to us to be able to at least partially compensate our teachers, who are courageously continuing their mission remotely, as well as our staff. The severity of the situation has led to the displacement of many of our students’ parents, especially those from southern Beirut suburbs and Saida, areas heavily affected by strikes. For now, parents are unable to meet their children’s tuition fees.
Any financial help you can provide, however small, will allow us to fulfill our commitments to members of our educational community.
To all our friends in France, thank you for your generosity and solidarity with us! Be assured that your support brings us valuable comfort in the face of the horrors of war and its dehumanizing effects.
