Welcome to Charity Comedy Night @ Cara! Join us at Cara Irish Pub & Restaurant for a night filled with laughter, good food, and great company, all for a wonderful cause. This event is organized to benefit the Dover/Rollinsford/S. Berwick Lions Club, so come out and show your support! Get ready for a night of hilarious stand-up comedy performances. This is a triple headliner show featuring three very experienced local comedians!
Your comedians for the evening are:
Host, Mark Moccia. Mark is the founder of Moccia Comedy Productions which, as of this writing, has raised over $72,000 in just over 1 year for local charities from Boston to Vermont!
Headliners:
Stephen Bjork. Stephen has come a long way from the nights of frying up mozzarella sticks in the back room of an obscure comedy club in the Boston suburbs. He was a college student, using that part-time job to study the craft of stand-up comedy by catching glimpses of the performers on stage. Today, Steve Bjork is a polished veteran of the highly competitive Boston comedy scene with crisscrossing tours of the country under his belt. His material is intelligent; sometimes absurd, and always accessible, but first and foremost it is funny. What truly sets him apart from the teeming crowd of today’s comedians is that you never have to ask Bjork to work ‘clean.’
Janet McNamara. For over ten years, Janet McNamara has thrilled audiences across the country with comedy that balances the search for identity with the search for a parking spot. From the first word, audiences are treated to an original perspective and an awkward energy that captivates undergrad hipsters and suburban housewives, sometimes at the same show (usually around Christmas). As an accountant with townie charm and no time for BS, Janet has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy and won a loyal fanbase of her own across New England. “Janet McNamara is a fantastic comic-with an amazing delivery and enviable timing of very unique material.”

So if you’re looking for razor-sharp jokes delivered with a plainspoken flair, Janet will tell you to get a better hobby. But also she does that.
Logan O'Brien. Logan is a Boston based comedian who placed third out of one hundred comedians in Laugh Boston’s Massachusetts Funniest Person competition in 2019, and has worked with national headliners such as Big Jay Oakerson, Punkie Johnson, Shane Gillis, and more. He performs regularly at clubs such as the Comedy Connection, Laugh Boston, and Nick’s Comedy Stop. He also co-hosts a podcast, and writes, produces, and acts in online sketches with three other comedians under the name the “South Shore Boyz.”
