ARRIVAL:
9.30am / Set Off at 10.00am
OPTIONS:
Two walking routes are planned in the area southwest of Huddersfield, covering Meltham Moor, Wessenden Moor, and the surroundings of Marsden. Both routes share the same start and end point: [An average walking speed is around 3 miles per hour]
1. 🚶♂️Challenging Walk – 15 Miles
For Experienced walkers looking for a day adventure
2. 🚶♂️Easier Low-Level Walk – 9 Miles
A gentler route with scenic views, suitable for most fitness levels
3. 🚴♀️Bike Ride
A cycle group may also be arranged if there's enough interest – starting/ending same location as the walk

BAM PROVIDING:
🥪 Sandwiches, snacks, water, and energy drinks will be handed out at the start of the walk, and we hope to finish the day with an evening meal in or around Marsden.

HIKING ESSENTIALS CHECKLIST:

🥾Comfortable, broken-in walking boots with ankle support, hiking socks [plus a spare pair], backpack, lightweight trousers or leggings, suitable for walking, waterproof jacket & rain gear, quick-dry layers for changing weather, hat & sunglasses, extra water & high energy snacks, blister plasters & basic first aid, tissues & hand sanitiser, and sunscreen.
