Chariots & Lowriders: 4-Day Tech Camp (MESA)

Join us for a FREE and exciting camp that incorporates technology, design, and celebration of local culture! In this four day experience (lunch and snacks provided) your child will learn about the rise of lowrider culture in Arizona, develop computer-aided-design skills used for engineering, and interact with robots using coding and creativity! The camp culminates in a public showcase where the community will celebrate the accomplishments of each camper!

Camp objectives

• Learn how 3D printers work and learn how they’re used in the real world.
• Design and customize a lowrider car in CAD software.
• Use your imagination to tell a story through colors, shapes, and details.
• Print your parts safely and troubleshoot any printing problems that come up.
• Design a parade and challenge course for your lowrider and Sphero robot combo.
• Show off your creation and share the story behind your design.

Important Information

• Ages 8–18. No prior experience or materials needed! Just bring your curiosity and love for tech!
• Monday-Thursday 11:30 am – 4:00 pm. Campers are expected to attend each day and participate in the entirety of the program. Our camps fill quickly and we want to share the experience with as many campers as possible. We cannot make exceptions to this requirement.
• A caretaker will be required to sign campers in and out each day. We are unable to facilitate early drop-offs and late pick-ups.
• Lunch, snacks and water provided each day.
• Family Showcase Thursday 4:30 pm– 6:00 pm
