Welcome to Chapters for Change!
Come join us on Tue, Mar 04, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center for an evening of inspiration and empowerment.
At Chapters for Change, we believe in the power of storytelling to create positive impact. By choosing social justice books to read and discuss, while doing something for the Milwaukee community. Each month will have a different community project that we will do while talking about the book. The project will match what is discussed in the book.
For March we will be reading Evicted, by Mathew Desmond. This is a great book that discusses the vicious cycle of housing and eviction in south and north Milwaukee.
For the social justice activity, we will be making personal care kits that will be dropped off at a local homeless shelter after we are done. If you have any winter gear to donate as well feel free to bring it and I can drop it off when I drop off the personal care kits.
**Cost of the book club will vary each month depending on the activity.
