About this Event

Alanna Lawley’s solo exhibition, Seepage From My Primal Fountain permeates the depths of female bodily experience and sensual and ethereal exploration – bridging this intuitive connection she invites performance artist & embodiment facilitator Storm Hartley to craft a unique trilogy of events during Berlin Gallery Weekend in response to her ongoing drawing series, Let Me Tell You How You Feel.

Chapter 2
Chapter 2 unfolds as a quiet morning connected to the art of meditation, solar rituals and the spaces in between sound and silence. In meditation the spine represents dignity and standing in ones power, a connective bridge between the root and the crown.

The lotus flower follows a journey of rooting in the depths of muddy water, as it rises to the surface to bloom and meet the energy of the sun. The flower stays open for 3 consecutive days and then retracts to return its seeds back into the water, seeping back into nature as an ode to the rebirth cycle. Our meditation unfolds with the intention to clear the channel between the earth and the sky, inspired by the wisdom of nature and how it communicates intrinsically through various membranes of information. Through somatic listening, the truth of the body reveals itself through the sensation of feeling alive within a moment of stillness - as well as balancing the awareness of longevity with permeability.

The event will take place on the exhibitions’ communal yoga matting. To prepare accordingly, the space will also be set up with blankets. You are welcome to bring any kind of comfortable attire you enjoy, such as meditation cushions or warm clothing. There is no toilet on site so please do keep this in mind. We will arrange with a premise outside the building.
