Our third year for this fantastic Chapel Island Walk, join us on Sunday 14th July 2024!This walk will take us from Flookburgh over Morecambe Bay to Chapel Island and back again. Chapel Island is located in the Leven estuary of Morecambe Bay and Ulverston Sands. In the 14th century Augustinian Canons from Conishead Priory built a small chapel on the island to serve the needs of travellers and fishermen. The ruins are still visible to this day.
This walk is 5 miles in total making it suitable for less experienced walkers and children.
