About this Event

Our new Chapel Chats lecture series kicks off January 26!

Within the cozy interiors of our historic chapel, we'll explore the stories of the Forest Home Cemetery, established 175 years ago in 1850.

In this first session, cemetery tour guide and author Anita Pietrykowski will delve into the lives of remarkable women who shaped Milwaukee’s legacy.

In this hour-long talk, you’ll learn about Anna Maria Krug Schlitz, Elizabeth Plankinton, Lenore Harrison Cawker, Alice Chester and Dickey Chappelle, among others.

EVENT INFO

The Forest Home Avenue gate is closed on Sundays, so please enter at the Lincoln Avenue gate.

After entering at Lincoln Avenue, veer left to the chapel. Parking is free and available throughout the cemetery and there is ample parking around the chapel.

Proceeds from all tours and events help preserve and enhance the historical and natural elements of the cemetery.
