About this Event
If you have some experience with yoga, you are welcome to join the class. Natalia will guide a 15-minute chanting session before the guided yoga class and will finish with a circle and sharing about this yoga practice.
By practicing Yoga Chikitsa, the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, in a guided setting, we aim to nourish each other's practice by breathing and moving together. You will listen to the asana names, followed by the breath count and gaze direction, all in Sanskrit. I will provide movement cues so you can follow along. This is how the practice has been shared since time immemorial.
Remember that a steady gaze leads to a steady breath and a steady mind.
Feel free to bring finger food to share afterwards!
This isn’t a beginners' class, but if you are new to yoga, you are welcome to come and observe the class and join for the opening chant (15 minutes) or closing circle (30 minutes). You can also join our monthly Foundations Workshop or the weekly Mysore-style classes.
