Indiana Landmarks presents an afternoon of special music with the Chanticleer String Quartet in the acoustically brilliant Grand Hall at Indiana Landmarks Center, featuring works by Haydn, Piazzolla, Gardel, Duke Ellington, and a new piece arranged by the ensemble’s guest pianist, Darius Frowner.Since it was founded in 1977, the Chanticleer String Quartet has brought what one critic called “a new dimension of music to the Midwest.” Based in Richmond, Indiana, the quartet reaches thousands of listeners annually through its Summer Music Festival and its children’s programs that take place throughout the year. The Chanticleers perform not only in the usual concert venues. They make a special effort to reach people in rural communities, state hospitals, juvenile centers, nursing homes, housing development complexes, and community centers.
Sponsored by Stegall Berheide Orr Funeral Service.
