——— CHANTAL ACDA: THE WHALE (BE)La chanteuse néerlandaise Chantal Acda, née en 1978 à Helmond et aujourd’hui installée à Anvers, fait ses débuts sur le devant de la scène musicale au début des années 2000 avec divers projets, de Chacda à Sleepingdog en passant par iH8 et Nu Nog Even Niet. Trois ans plus tard, Chantal se lance en solo avec Let Your Hands Be My Guide, un premier opus subtil et délicat composé de chansons en anglais aux accents slowcore. D’autres projets suivront ainsi que de nombreuses collaborations avec Nils Frahm et Peter Broderick, pour ne citer qu’eux.
Après nous avoir présenté Saturday Mood lors des Nuits 2021, un opus intimiste signé chez Glitterhouse, aux compositions colorées et aux collaborations surprenantes, allant de Borgar Magnason (Sigur Rós, Damien Rice) à Alan Sparhawk et Mimi Parker (Low), Madeena Dicko, Sylvie Nawasadio (ex-Zap Mama), mais aussi des noms établis comme Eric Thielemans, Niels van Heertum et Alan Gevaert (dEUS), Chantal Acda, récompensée aux Grammy Awards pour son travail avec Bill Frisell, revient entourée de musicien·ne·s pour un concert intimiste au Witloof Bar où elle nous présentera ses nouveaux morceaux.
