Forward Ever Entertainment are very proud to announce that the mighty Channel One Sound System (UK) will be coming to Torquay for a historic night of heavyweight Sound System Music & Culture welcoming both Mikey Dread and Ras Sherby to perform on Sasquatch Sounds hand built, heavyweight Sound System.Channel One have been breaking down barriers since 1979 and are one of the UK's best known and most loved reggae sound systems having run a 40+ year residency at Notting Hill Carnival as well as travelled all over the globe spreading the message and power of reggae & dub music. Channel One won the Red Bull Culture Clash in 2010 (beating Metalheadz and Skream & Benga), performed at the UK's Wembley Arena at the 2012 Culture Clash and have toured the USA, Europe, Mexico and more in recent years. They are also a regular feature at major festivals around the world such as Glastonbury, Womad & Rototom Sunsplash. Put simply, Channel One are the best of the best, and this is dance you cannot miss out on.
We are extremely excited that Mikey Dread and Ras Sherby will be joined by Melbourne's Original Fire Lady Sound, the mighty Housewife's Choice Sound System, who will not only be bringing their amazing selection of music to get the party started, but also their formidable stack of speakers to ensure the selections sound crystal clear and drop heavy.
The Housewife’s run one of the most formidable DIY Rigs in Australia and have played all over the country & world including a recent trip up to Brisbane with their boxes. Whether at a festival, club night, rave or day party the Housewife’s always bring the vibes with their heavyweight selection of roots, reggae, dancehall and fully stacked dubplate box. We are really excited to welcome them to Torquay to mash up the dance once with their signature spirited style.
