About this Event
Changemakers program: Youth Policy Forum
The Changemakers Program is a powerful, youth-led policy forum designed to amplify the voices of high school students from across Minnesota. Held at the Minnesota House Chamber, this annual event brings together 65 diverse youth leaders to directly engage with legislators, shaping the 2025 Minnesota Youth Agenda.
Through an intergenerational approach, participants identify their top policy priorities and work collaboratively to develop actionable solutions. The program focuses on pressing issues such as youth homelessness and permanent affordable housing, expanding Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO), and promoting Indigenous perspectives on environmental stewardship and more!
The Changemakers Program not only provides a platform for young leaders to advocate for change but also offers tangible support to ensure participation is accessible for all. This includes transportation, meals, and stipends, making it possible for youth from low-income backgrounds to attend. The event aims to foster real, lasting impact by equipping students with the skills, confidence, and connections needed to drive meaningful policy change throughout Minnesota!
