What it's about:
In our signature Change The World Innovation Camp, campers will have a fun 5 days tinkering with coding and AI, and mashing that with design thinking and systems thinking to identify problems and brainstorm solutions, and create a tech-enabled business idea pitch with a team!

- 2-6 Dec 2024 (Mon-Fri), 9.30AM - 3.30PM or
- 9-13 Dec 2024 (Mon-Fri), 9.30AM - 3.30PM
Location: Network Hub, Guoco Midtown (Bugis MRT)
Key learning outcomes:
At the end of this camp, campers will:
- Grasp the concept of design thinking - the art of using empathy to identify real world problems, and ideating solutions
- Be able to articulate the key components in a business proposal - marketing, sales, revenue, and cost
- Be able to craft marketing and sales pitch and design marketing collaterals, using tools like Canva
- Learn to collaborate as a team to build a prototype and a business pitch
- Experience pitching their business idea to parents and other campers
- Gain the leadership and decision-making skills of an effective entrepreneur
- Become confident communicators, efficient collaborators, and socially responsible leaders
- Have experienced and acquired key 21st century skills of critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and communication.
Sample schedule:
Day 1 : Design Thinking and Wayfinding
They will learn what it means to identify problems, and come up with potential solutions. They will start pitching their ideas and form teams to create a business plan.
Campers will also go through Stanford d.School's Wayfinder program to identify their own joy and skills, helping them build self-awareness and confidence.
Day 2: Entrepreneurship
Campers will learn what it means to really build a tech-enabled business, from interviewing people, to planning their business strategy and deciding on a revenue model.
Day 3: Marketing and Design
Campers will be exploring social media advertising and graphic design, and try creating their own website or marketing collaterals to support their idea.
Day 4: Introduction to Basic Money Matters
Campers will learn the basics of financial literacy, and what it takes to run a business and make a profit.
Day 5: Pitch Day!
They will fine-tune their proposal, put the finishing touches to their pitch, and pitch to a panel of judges!
They'll end the week with lots of fun and laughter, and a better understanding of yourself and the power they have to change the world!
